A French-American pianist and former director of the École Normale de Musique de Paris. At 16, he was admitted to the École Normale de Musique de Paris, studying under Wilhelm Kempff, Eugene Istomin, Nadia Boulanger, and Erich Leinsdorf, inheriting the profound traditions of Claudio Arrau. Renowned for his superb performance technique and deeply expressive musicality, David Lively quickly gained prominence on the international music stage, winning prestigious competitions such as the Marguerite Long International Competition, Queen Elisabeth Music Competition, Geneva International Music Competition, and Tchaikovsky International Music Competition. He has also been awarded the Contemporary Music Special Prize and the Dino Ciani Award from La Scala Opera House in Milan.

Coming from an artistic family, Gaspard Dehaene is the son of the renowned French pianist Anne Queffélec. He began learning the piano at a young age and later studied under Bruno Rigutto and Denis Pascal at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris. He pursued advanced studies at the Mozarteum University Salzburg, mentored by piano masters such as Jacques Rouvier and Rena Shereshevskaya.

A graduate of the Rostov State Rachmaninov Conservatory in Russia, where he earned a Specialist degree. He has taught at joint international music programs between Yancheng Normal University in China and the Moscow State Academy of Culture, performed at the Netherlands’ Theater de Voorveghter, and worked at the Rostov State Rachmaninov Conservatory.
